"Service refused"

I've just been to Hadfields at Newsome, at 12.30pm saturday afternoon. I wanted a chicken mayonnaise sandwich, plain, no salad. I was told by the pleasant young lady that they could not make a sandwich at this time. There was a large tub of chicken mayo visable and lots of teacakes. I asked why and she said they were running behind. I understand they have to get their clean up done however dont understand why it is so hard to make a sandwich. How much mess would it make? I asked if i could buythe chicken and tea cake separately to take home and was told no. I asked if the chicken mayo would be thrown away and she said yes it would. She asked the older lady if she could make it and was ignored. I gave up and left then i went to Newsome Nosh and was served a lovely sandwich no problem.

please can you explain your policy to refuse to make a sandwich but yet allow the food you refused to sell to be thrown away? Do you not need customers? Shall i go elsewhere ie Newsome Nosh in future?.
