A review of Mirfield Rifle Range by Keith written on Sunday 4th of June 2017
Took my kids there for the first time last year, not knowing what to expect, on walking in there is a bar area and seating with cctv of the shooting ranges, going through to the shop at the back where you can rent guns for the visit at what i feel is a reasonable price, walk up to the air rifle range, on entry its quite small with room for about 8 or 9 people to shoot at any given time, you can place your own targets out but must follow a set guideline to stand down other shooters, or simply shoot at the range of metal targets. a marshal wanders around (or monitors on ccyv) to ensure safety and to give help if needed.
no pressure to leave after a set time, just as and when you have had enough,
indoor pistol range well monitored, no experience other than looking through the door.
again, outdoor shotgun / rifle range at the back, did not try to check that out but when a shotgun fires its loud :)
overall a good place to take the kids for an hour or so, allows you to let off steam and if you want, to have a beer afterwards.
been a few times since, last time was packed out so didnt get in, testiment to its popularity.
plan on going again today..
