A review of Cowcliffe Methodist Church by Anonymous written on Saturday 13th of October 2012
A very caring and friendly church where fairly traditional services take place each Sunday at 10.30 am. Mostly an elderly congregation with a very small Junior Church. Minister is Revd Leslie J Noon who has been our shared minister (two other churches in the circuit) for the past 6 years. Coffee is served after the service each week. An evening service takes place at 18.00 each month usually the first Sunday.
We celebrate Easter, Gift Days, Harvests and our Carol Service is the highlight of the year. Lay Preachers take three of the 4 monthly
services. Our minister usually takes communion once a month.
Twice per month on a Wednesday evening a Wednesday Group meet at 19.30. This group is open to both men and women of any age. We have speakers, film shows, powerpoint presentations and visits.
The third Saturday in the month is a Coffee Morning ad Bring and Buy where freshly cooked cakes can be bought along with marmalade and jams etc.
On a Thursday afternoon during Term Time a Cat Cap club is held for mothers with very young babies and children it gives parents a chance to meet others and children a chance to play and mix.
Come along and join us you will be made very welcome..
